32 Cards: Rules, How to Play, Payouts

32 Cards is one of the most basic casino games primarily based on luck. There is absolutely no sure-shot way of winning this game, and it is purely a matter of chance. The betting in this game is based on guesswork rather than making calculated moves as in other casino games.

The 32 Cards is a game created by Ezugi primarily for Indian audiences. It is based on another Indian casino game called Andar Bahar, solely based on guesswork. This is one of the few parts of Ezugi’s Indian Games Catalog.

32 Cards Rules & How to Play

As the name suggests, 32 Cards are played using a deck of only 32 cards, i.e., cards 6 to King of all suits. Each of these 32 cards holds a numeric value:

  • 6 to 10: as they are
  • 11: Jacks
  • 12: Queens
  • 13: Kings

There are four hands, or default cards, with 8, 9, 10, and 11, respectively. These hands hold the corresponding numeric 8, 9, 10, and 11. Of the four hands, players are to bet on any one hand, with no limit on the number of players. These numeric values are the scores of each hand.

After your bet is placed, the dealer places one additional card from the deck against each hand. The hand that has the highest numeric value or score upon addition is the winning hand.

Another important rule in the 32 Cards game is that the final score is final, and no changes or recounting is done. This is except for when the highest scores are precisely the same; in this situation, cards are added until there is a clear winner. Note that if the lower scoring hands are identical, there are no additional cards after the first set.

32 Cards Payouts

It may seem that hand 11 has an unfair advantage of having a high value in the first place and vice versa for hand 8. However, this is evened out in the payouts.

  • Hand 8 – 11:1
  • Hand 9 – 4.5:1
  • Hand 10 – 2.2:1
  • Hand 11 – 1:1

Thus, there aren’t any unfair advantages in the gameplay.

32 Cards Gameplay

Let us take an example to understand better how the game of 32 Cards works. Let us begin keeping this formula in mind:

Final score = default hand + additional card added by the dealer

There are four players, and each places a bet on a different hand.

  • Player A on hand 8
  • Player B on hand 9
  • Player C on hand 10
  • Player D on hand 11

After this, each player must place their bets, after which the dealer will place the additional cards.

The additional cards put by the dealer in this round are 7, 10, 11 and 8, respectively. The final scores for each hand then become:

  • Player A: 8 + 7 = 15
  • Player B: 9 + 10 = 19
  • Player C: 10 + 11 = 21
  • Player D: 11 + 8 = 19

Here, B and D are identical, but C is the highest. In this case, there is no need to add any more cards, and Player C is the winner that gets to take their payout home.
